AFCAT Mock Test Free 2026 — Indian Air Force Common Admission Test
The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted by the Indian Air Force twice a year (February and August) to recruit officers into the Flying, Ground Duty (Technical), and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branches.
AFCAT is one of the easiest defence officer-entry exams to prepare for — it has a single 100-question paper covering English, GK, Numerical Ability and Reasoning. Candidates applying for Technical branch additionally have to clear the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).
Selection has two stages — AFCAT Written Test (300 marks) + EKT (only for Technical branch, 150 marks), followed by AFSB Interview (5-day process) at one of the four Air Force Selection Boards.

1. Spatial Reasoning is AFCAT-Specific — Practise Daily
AFCAT has more spatial reasoning questions (mirror image, water image, paper folding, embedded figures) than any other defence exam. These cannot be cracked without daily 30-minute practice. Solve 50 spatial reasoning problems/day from RS Aggarwal Reasoning + AFCAT-specific books.
2. Defence-Focused Current Affairs
AFCAT GA section is heavily defence-focused. Track IAF news (new aircraft inductions like Tejas, Rafale, Apache, Chinook, S-400), missile tests (Akash, Astra, BrahMos), defence exercises, and IAF anniversaries. Read PIB defence releases and defence news websites.
3. English & Numerical — Easy Marks if Prepared
AFCAT English is similar to SSC CGL / Bank PO level. Numerical is Class 10 Maths. Both are scoring sections — aim for 80%+ accuracy. RS Aggarwal Quant + Wren & Martin English are sufficient.
4. PYQ Practice — Last 10 Years
AFCAT recycles question patterns heavily. Solving last 10 years' PYQs (both AFCAT-1 and AFCAT-2 sittings) reveals the depth needed. Aim for 80%+ accuracy in PYQs in 2 attempts.
5. AFSB Preparation — Year-Round
